I wanted to add using a pressure cooker to my cooking equipment & kitchen practices. Knowing of India's heavy use of pressure cooking and having some personal information & contacts with their cooking heritage I pursued an Indian company. I have used my Hawkins Ekobase 5 Liters now several times over several weeks for legumes. There has been a learning curve for me in regards to capacity volume and cooking reactions to each bean type but there is a lot of help online for that. The pot itself is well made, easy to use and clean and I feel very comfortable with it. I am very glad that I chose a model with the heavier bottom which makes it feel very well built & protects against burning. I now hear the steam whistling in my house as one does so often as you pass homes in India. It is a nice sound.
