Description

Bayou Banjo cooker with 30-psi regulator provides a very wide range of flame control from a bare Simmer to a blast flame; steam, boil, fry, & home Brew. The 10-in cast iron burner is popular with home brewers because it is less likely to scorch natural sugars at the bottom of stockpots. 22-In wide frame with dual vertical thick steel bars provide a safe platform for cooking with stockpots to 160-qt capacity. The 48-IN LPG hose increases distance of propane tank away from wide diameter stockpots. Stainless braided hose & hose guard provide extra barrier of protection from heat & flame downdraft. Compact size enables portability From Backyard parties to camping, RVs, & tailgating.

Features

HEAVY DUTY COOKER This robust cooker has a thick ⅝-in round bar welded cast iron frame, 10-inch cast iron burner, and 22-inch cooking surface. Enjoy countless hours of cooking with friends and family, whether you're tailgating, camping, out in the RV, or in the backyard.

LARGE BATCH BOILING AND STEAMING Both the sturdy frame and extra-large cooking surface allow for serious large-batch cooking. You can safely accommodate 14-inch diameter 162-qt stock pots, while the outdoor burner provides a wide range of temperature settings. Simmer away with infrared cooking or turn up high until the flame is a raging inferno!

NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED A simple, highly functional design and high-quality components make using this burner a breeze! Just connect the included 48-in Stainless Braided LPG Hose to your propane tank and you’re ready to get cooking. This burner even has a built-in windscreen. Don’t keep your crawfish, crabs, shrimp, corn, and vegetables waiting - get boiling or steaming right out of the box!

CHOICE HOMEBREW BURNER The raised rungs and 22-inch burner size allow for excellent heat and flame distribution, decreasing the chances of scorching the natural sugars at the bottom of your brew kettle. This burner delivers a whopping 164,000 BTUs saving you time and money when it is time to bring your wort to a boil.

IDEAL CRAWFISH BOILER The most important piece of equipment at any crawfish boil is the burner, and the KAB6 has the power and capacity to get the job done. This cooker is excellent for soups, stews, gumbo, low country boil, and booya.

This is a fairly popular burner choice amongst home brewers and that also was my purpose with it. For me, I integrated these burners into a custom built stand, just simply didn't want the hassle of creating an integrated burner. I was looking for an option that if some day I wanted to do integrated burners I can, and this fits the bill...the burners can be removed from the rest of the burner assembly. I have two of them that I use, one for my hot liquor tank and the other for my boil. I've built a custom propane pipe to distribute propane to both burners with unique flow controls for each burner and can run both just fine on a single regulator.Overall, I haven't noticed the issues that others mentioned about performance. I'm able to easily get a 12-13 gallon batch boiling in no time, hardly takes much time at all. I do have to keep things turned up a bit to get there, but it's not really that much of an impact as I do expect to use some fuel to get that much liquid to boiling temps. I find the stability of the burners supreme using a 15 gallon keg as my kettle, never has there been a concern about it's ability to securely hold my equipment. Performance with some winds about does get a little challenging, but nothing a quick rip of aluminum foil can't fix...but winds can challenge any burner out there. Conductivity of heat hasn't been a big problem, I set these on a wooden stand and haven't had any issues with burns or marks on the wood. I really have come to like these and they've performed admirably for well over a couple years across several dozen batches. When you first turn these things on, expect the paint to burn off. It's a bit unpleasant, but overall, goes fairly quick and never needs done again. Other than that, not much to it...fire it up and go.
