Description

High-quality Materials WSP Series utilizes 316L food-grade stainless steel and has passed the explosion-proof test over 500 psi pressure and the water hammer test over 100,000 times. Prolong Service Lives of Your Appliances WSP Series is your reliable choice of pre-filters. It protects and extends the life of your standard filters by removing the large dirt, sand, and rust particles before they reach the rest of your plumbing system, including water softeners, water filtration, and expensive appliances. Easy Installation and Maintenance The WSP series is flushable and reusable. It is recommended to flush it regularly (daily or weekly), depending on the water usage, sediment amount, and the hardness level. However, as hardness tends to form a hard scale that clogs the screen, simple flushes may not be sufficient. When necessary, remove the stainless steel cartridge and clean it with a brush, and/or soak it in vinegar. Choose the Appropriate Microns of Filters for Your House Filtration Guideline The WSP spin-down sediment filter comes with a variety of options in micron size. Smaller microns allow less through, but to get most life and efficiency out of your filters it’s important to only go as small as you need. Differences in water quality and your water pressure affect the performance of the WSP. Please avoid the mistake of using 'fine' filters for 'rough' water and causing the filters to clog sooner than expected. Use multi-stage filters to achieve one of the best filtering results and longer cartridge life. 50 micron (Replace every 12-24 months)100 micron (Replace every 12-24 months)200 micron (Replace every 12-24 months)500 micron (Replace every 12-24 months)1000 micron (Replace every 12-24 months) WSP Series WSPSL Series WSPGR Series WSPARB Series WSPARJ Series Add to Cart Add to Cart Add to Cart Add to Cart Add to Cart Customer Reviews 4.6 out of 5 stars 4,701 4.6 out of 5 stars 1,559 4.4 out of 5 stars 454 4.6 out of 5 stars 662 4.7 out of 5 stars 355 Price $44.33$44.33 $51.29$51.29 $96.99$96.99 $161.73$161.73 $279.39$279.39 Size 50, 100, 200, 500, or 1000 Micron 50, 100, 200, 500, or 1000 Micron 50 or 100 Micron 50 or 100Micron 50,100, 200 or 500 Micron See Through Housing ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ Scraper no data no data ✓ ✓ no data Rotatable Head no data no data ✓ no data no data Gauge no data no data ✓ no data no data Scale Prevention no data ✓ no data no data no data Auto Flush no data no data no data ✓ ✓ Connectors 1-inch MNPT and 3/4 inch FNPT 1-inch MNPT and 3/4 inch FNPT 1-inch MNPT and 3/4 inch FNPT 1-inch FNPT and 3/4 inch FNPT push-fit plumbing fittings 1-inch MNPT and 3/4 inch FNPT Capacity 5 oz 5 oz 5 oz 16 oz 110 oz

Features

Rated at 50 micron. Whole House Spin Down Sediment Water Filter. Ideal frontier water filter in whole house water filter system, protecting your entire plumbing system from sediment, rust, dirt, sand, and large particles. NOTE Screens with 50 or 100 microns may be clogged very soon for water with high sediment content. Contact us for screen replacement in different size.

Flushable and Reusable. Take the considerable workload off finer filters that follow behind it; unlike traditional sediment filters, regular flushing keeps the WSP performance in control. WSP series can be used for waste water treatment by spin down the sediment.

Durable Whole House Spin Down Sediment Water Filtration. Solid lead-free brass machine head with stainless steel mesh filter screen that usually lasts 1 - 2 years.

Easy installation with double threads.1-inch MNPT and 3/4 inch FNPT on both ends, garden hose barb fitting on flush out valve. See-through housing provides easy visual monitoring.

Indoor friendly. Its for 40- 100F, 15 -115 psi and for indoor use only. Pressure loss or clogged frequently may cause by large particles. If the contaminants in your water are too many or too large, we recommend you choose a larger micron of filter or larger spin down sediment water filtrations like our WSP50B series and WSP50J series.

This review is for the iSpring WSP-50 particle filter that is used on city water. The iSpring 50-micron filter serves as frontline protection for my 3M Whole Home Sysem with scale protection. The two have been online for 6 months (since mid-August). After 6 months use, I believe that am in a good position to judge the attributes of the iSpring filter.First, the iSpring is very forgiving for those who forget to open the value to clean it out. I went nearly 4.5 months without rinsing out the system. I show a picture of the iSpring just before I cleaned it for the first time. Yuk! During the initial 4.5 months, I experienced no loss of water pressure, which I find amazing. Again, I am on city water, so most large particulates are likelly removed. Your results would undoubtedly vary, especially if you are on well water. But clearly, the iSpring WSP-50 did its job.Our main water problem is preventing corrosion and scale build up. We ran a water softener for decades that worked well. Unfortunately, its consumables (salt) were costing us nearly $300 per year, and that is not counting water that is wasted during the softening process. The softener finally quit working last summer, and it was time for different solition. Hence, I got the iSpring WSP-50 and 3M whole home system. I bring this up as iSpring has another spindown filter for comparable cost:, the iSpring WSP-50SL Reusable Whole House Spin Down Sediment Water Filter Softener. The WSP-50SL Includes Siliphos, which supposedly helps soften water and lessens scale and corrosion build up. If I was aware of the iSpring WSP-50SL, I would have installed it instead of the iSpring WSP-50. Unfortunately, swapping the iSpring WSP-50SL for the iSpring WSP-50 is not a seamless change, and I would require a plumber to install the WSP-50SL.In conclusion, the iSpring WSP-50 is an excellent pre-filter to protect a downstream whole home system. If scale build up from hard water is a problem in your home, the iSpring WSP-50SL might be your best bet for a similar cost. I believe that you cannot go wrong with either choice.
